A Word for Our Arbor Family
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
(Galatians 6:2)
For the last 21 days, we have prayed and fasted together. We brought needs before God, some we shared openly, and others we kept between Him and us. We asked God to move, to provide, to give direction, and to answer prayers.
But sometimes while we’re waiting for God to answer, we forget that He often works through people.
Scripture reminds us to carry one another’s burdens because God never intended for us to carry everything alone. We can sit next to the same people every Sunday, smile, say hello, and still have no idea what the person beside us is going through. Real relationships require us to go a little deeper.
That’s why Small Groups matter. They allow us to move beyond a Sunday conversation or a quick handshake to really know one another, pray for each other, share life, and be present when someone needs us.
If you haven’t joined a group, give one a try. You don’t need to know everyone or have everything figured out. Just show up and give people a chance.
Maybe one of the answers to a prayer you prayed during these 21 days is a person God is waiting for you to meet, or maybe you are the answer to someone else’s prayer.
