A Word for Our Arbor Family

I really enjoy our Sunday services at Arbor Church. Heartfelt worship ushers in the presence of God. Then the Word of God is sown into the soil of my heart. Every time, Holy Spirit touches my spirit, and I am totally aware of it. God is addressing something in my actions (or lack thereof) and attitudes. That is all "good news." The potentially "bad news" is how I respond to what God is saying.

Too many Sundays, I thank Pastor Adam for the good word after I participate in the closing worship song and never really respond to what God said to me. If one of you spoke to me, I would never intentionally ignore you. Likewise, I should never dismiss the conviction that God graciously gives me. James 1:22 tells us to be doers of the Word and not hearers only.

I can bow my head and repent silently at my seat. Or I could leave my seat and kneel at the altar. Or I could ask for prayer from one of the altar ministers available at the front. Or I could ask for accountability from my spouse or a trusted friend.

I am truly convicted that I will expect God to speak to my heart, and I will do what He says. I'm excited about encountering God this week. Blessings!
