A Word for Our Arbor Family
A few weeks ago, I had the honor of attending our youth summer camp. (If you know our youth, you know that statement holds zero sarcasm—they are truly AMAZING!) While there, a guest pastor shared an illustration that has stayed with me.
Those blue reflectors embedded in the road aren’t placed randomly. They serve a very specific purpose: to guide firefighters straight to the nearest fire hydrant during emergencies. In the midst of chaos and urgency, those small, shining markers help them quickly locate the water they need.
In the same way, we are called to be reflectors in our world. To the lost, the broken, and the lonely, we can stand out as bright, unmistakable guides—pointing people to the true source of Living Water.
Jesus said to the woman at the well, “...those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes fresh, bubbling within them, giving them eternal life.” (John 4:14 NLT)
May those little blue reflectors be a reminder that we should live so distinctly that others see Him clearly through us, shining hope in every dark or hurried moment.
