A Word for Our Arbor Family
My favorite holiday is just a few days away! This Sunday, as a church family, we’re celebrating Pentecost!
You can read about the fulfillment of Pentecost in Acts 2. It is when the Holy Spirit reversed the curse of Babel and poured Himself into all believers. Instead of confusion and scattering, He brought understanding, unity, and the power to declare God’s glory in every language so that the Church could take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. That same Spirit is still empowering us today, drawing us together as one Body rather than letting us drift apart into our own little, individualistic worlds. When we gather around a table to share a meal and practice real (vulnerable) fellowship, we’re living out that reversal; preferring one another, laying down our pride, and giving God all the glory.
What to Expect:
This Sunday will look different. There will be long rows of tables for you, your family, and your friends to sit together. We’ll have a short worship service and message, followed by a communion meal. Come join us as we laugh, catch up, and pray for one another.
Whether you’ve been around for years or you’re still just checking things out, there’s a seat for you!
Our small groups are providing the food platters, so ask your small group leader if you’d like to contribute. These moments matter more than we realize. They strengthen, unify, and remind us that we’re not running this race alone.
“On the day of Pentecost, all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.
