A Word for Our Arbor Family
After Church in the Park, my feet were sore, but my heart was overflowing! Engaging in ministry, especially in a setting outside our routine, can often become a target for disunity and chaos, working to distract us from our mission.
The Bible provides numerous examples where “many hands make light work” and highlights the significance of unity within the church body. A few of those instances include:
The construction of the Tabernacle (Exodus 35:10-29)
The concept of the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
The support of Hur and Aaron when Moses’ arms grew tired during the battle with the army of Amalek (Exodus 17:9-13)
And the unity of four simple men, full of faith, who brought their paralyzed friend through a rooftop to be with Jesus for healing (Mark 2:1-12)
This past Sunday exemplified the beauty of church-body unity in action. Every moment, someone was asking, “How can I help?” This created an environment that preaches the Gospel and welcomes all into a place of Godly worship and fellowship. Many of you even embodied Pastor Mayra’s message about Service even before it was delivered (and in THREE languages, by the way! How awesome was that!). Thanks to the dedication of so many, we heard countless expressions of how restful the experience was, even amidst all the hard work.
Each time I witness someone utilizing their gifts to uplift the Body of Christ, my heart fills with gratitude for the privilege of serving alongside such an incredible group of individuals—and I sincerely thank God for each of you!
