A Word for Our Arbor Family
Roots and Fruit for a New Year
As we step into a brand-new year, I’ve been reflecting on Psalm 1 - the picture of a tree planted by streams of water, firmly rooted, nourished, and bearing fruit. It’s a timely reminder that real growth doesn’t come from trying harder, but from being rooted deeper.
The start of a new year often brings resolutions, plans, and hopes for change. All of those can be good, but before we set goals for what we want to do, Scripture invites us to consider who we are becoming. Are we planted near the living water of God’s Word? Are we giving space for His presence to shape our days? Are we connected to a community that encourages and strengthens us?
My prayer for our Arbor church family in 2026 is that we would begin this year not with pressure, but with purpose - remaining in Christ so that He can produce the kind of fruit no calendar can measure: peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, and joy.
Let’s commit together to make this a year of growing deeper roots, trusting that God will bring the fruit in His perfect timing. I’m grateful to walk into this new season with each of you.
