A Word for Our Arbor Family

Do you know Him?

I love that I live in a predominately Christian nation, a beautiful country whose foundations and laws are based on the Bible. Because we are culturally Christian, often people say they are Christian yet they have not made the decision to follow Christ. You are not a Christian because you were raised in America. You are not a Christian because your family and friends are Christians. It does not happen by osmosis. It is a personal decision that each person must make for themselves. Here are some questions to ponder:

Is there a moment in your life where you recognized that you were a sinner and you needed a savior? Did you invite Jesus into your life and ask Him to forgive your sins?

Ephesians 2:8-9, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

If you died today, where would you spend eternity and why?

John3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

When you choose to do something wrong, do you feel conviction?

John 16:8, "And he when he (Holy Spirit) is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:"

Do you value the Word of God and try to conduct your life according to its direction, whether you want to or not?

John 14:21, "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

Do you love people?

1 John 4:7-8, "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."

If you are not sure…take this moment and ask Jesus to come into your life as Lord, surrendering your life from this day forward to serve Him. It will be the absolutely best decision of your life for here and beyond. ❤️
