A Word for Our Arbor Family

Have you ever been rejected? It’s not a pleasant feeling. No one wakes up in the morning and thinks, “How many people can I get to harshly reject me today?”

It may not cross our minds often, but Jesus gets rejected every single day - by His own creation. We even see many people making attempts to rehash, reanalyze or rewrite His Word! All of this only to drag the precious name of Jesus through the mud.

There is a high calling for those who have put their trust in Jesus. 1 Peter 2:4-5 says, “As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

You yourself are like a living stone, and just look at what He has built! A mighty church that invites the Holy Spirit to fill and empower each member.  A place to know God, and a place to tell of His good works to others. Don’t wait to be perfectly put together in order to be a sacrifice unto the Lord! Be encouraged to stand firm in the faith. Use this next season of unified prayer and fasting to ask God to reveal what He wants to you, and how you can apply it to grow even closer to Him.

Whether you have been following Jesus since you were five years old or for just the last five minutes, He will speak to you if you ask Him. Let our prayer be, “Lord, get us ready for what’s to come in this next season and teach us to lean on You, our mighty Cornerstone.” Amen
