A Word for Our Arbor Family
Many years ago, I made a permanent addition to whatever Bible reading plan I'm following. I purpose to read from the book of James every day. It has become my "how-to" book on living my life as a holy devoted follower of Jesus.
One of the keys to growth in my life is found in James 1:22-25: "... be doers of the word and not hearers only..."
We all have to be careful about reading a great passage or hearing a great sermon but not acting on what God showed us. The key to hearing from God is found in joyfully responding to what He says. Verse 25 promises that God blesses us for our obedience.
Let's be doers together!
